Happy Winter!!!  I'm so excited for Christmas!!!  Thanksgiving is over, so on with the holidays we go.  I'm moving right on into Christmas.  I don't care that it's not December yet.  I've already cheated and started listening to Chrismas music before we even hit Thanksgiving.  Tomorrow I plan on breaking out all of the Christmas decorations.  Merry Christmas to all....

Thanksgiving 2011

Happy Thanksgiving 2011!!!  I love Thanksgiving... so much good food and family.  We hosted this year, as usual, and it was our first Thanksgiving in a new place.  It was so nice that my family was able to come out and celebrate with us.  I am so especially proud of my Grandpa John, because he's not so good with traveling.  Not only did he make the trip up here, but he also spent the night... and to top it all off, he held Jenna.  For all of those who don't know my Grandpa, he doesn't hold babies, so it's a really big deal if he decides to.  She loved him.  They even sat and had a conversation about I don't know what.  But the two of them went on and on.  It was so cute!  Of course, the minute I got the video camera out Jenna decided that she was done... go figure.  It was a much smaller gathering of people this year, which I was completely ok with.  It was just us with some of my family, our friend Isaac, and Mitch's daughter, Cynthia.  The kids had so much fun seeing everyone and eating.  All in all, it was a good day.

Mark and Isaac became pals.  They were addicted to a game of scrabble.  We broke them of it when Mom and I started playing bingo.

Dirt, Dirt, and More Dirt!

Oh my heavens... so I have finally decided that I was going to do some deep cleaning in my house.  I haven't really done it since we've moved in.  It's not an easy thing to do when I constantly have to stop for some reason or another... whether it be for Jenna or for one of the other two.  Since it's just a rental, I'm pretty sure it hasn't been truly done in quite some time by anyone, and boy is it obvious.  I thought to myself, "well I'll do the upstairs today and the downstairs tomorrow".  Let me tell you it's not that simple.  I spent over an hour just on the upstairs baseboards.  I haven't even begun to get to walls, light switches, etc.  I'm pretty sure at this point that it would just be easier to repaint the whole house.  Lord be with me, I have my work cut out for me...

I am so glad that Jaxton and Kayla love Jenna.  They have adjusted so well and I am so proud of them.

Missing My Family

On Thursday I went into Salt Lake with Mitch, because he had a work meeting.  We just went for the day and it flew by so fast.  My Mom was so patient and went with me and the kids to my old work, so I could say hello and introduce Jenna to them.  It took much longer than I anticipated but it was so nice to see everyone.  After that, the kids, Mom, and I went to lunch, and then we were off to pick up Mark from school and put the kids down for naps.  Then, before I knew it, we were eating dinner and I had to go back home.  I so badly wanted to spend the night so that I had a little bit more time with them, but Mitch had to work in the morning, so we headed back to Logan.  I always miss them but it's wierd how when I spend time with them, it makes me miss them more.  Luckily, Thanksgiving will be here soon and I will get to see everyone again.  Not long after, it will be Christmas.  I love the holidays.  Here are some pictures from our visit...

Sisterly Love

Kayla loves Jenna so much and it makes me so happy.  I was so glad to have another girl because I love that I have a sister and I couldn't imagine Kayla not having one, too.  It just makes me that much more happy to see that Kayla already just loves her sister so much!

Ahhh, The Style of a Two Year Old

We have a morning routine where after breakfast Jaxton goes to wash up, brush his teeth, and get dressed.  I do all of this for Kayla, since she is too little to do it on her own.  Well this particular morning I was feeding Jenna while they were eating.  They finished eating before Jenna did, so Jaxton did as he always does and got down to wash up and continue on with the routine.  Kayla felt the need to follow and she ended up getting herself dressed.  Now keep in mind that it is snowing outside...

I just love Kayla by the end of the day.  She is such a little ragamuffin with her clip half out, her hair all over the place, and in jammies.

Jaxton had to get in on the picture action too, but he was dancing around obnoxiously.  I told him to stand still and put his arms in the air like "Wahoo... Look at me!".  This is how the picture turned out.  Doesn't he look like the Chaquita Banana Lady, only without the tall fruit hat???  The minute he saw it he got really mad and said "Mom, I don't like that... I look like a girl!!!"  All the while holding back tears.  I didn't dare say anything about the chiquita banana lady to him.

So we continued to take more pictures that made him look like a boy!  This is Jaxton trying to look super cool.



He's got skills!

Well Jaxton finally has a bike of his own.  The poor thing has been riding around on Kayla's little pink trike and we finally got him a two wheeler... with training wheels of course.  He was soooo excited and he caught right on.  He's very anxious for us to take the training wheels off already.  He thinks he's that good at it.  Little does he know the falls he will have once we take the training wheels off.  The cutest part about his excitement is how much he loves his helmet.  He wears it all day, as though it were a piece of clothing.  He even eats with it on, and doesn't take so kindly to the fact that I won't let him sleep in it.  This kid makes me laugh.

Happy Halloweeeeen!!!

Well last night was another fun-filled Halloween!  We have a market here in Smithfield called Lee's Marketplace, and we started off our Halloween festivities by going to their trick-or-treating event.  The kids got goody bags with toothbrushes and pumpkin cookies and strawberry milk... string cheese, chips, and so on.  Jaxton and Kayla thought it was amazing.  We got to babysit our new friend, Wes, and the kids had so much fun!  Not long after, it was time for the main event... Trick-or-Treating!!!  Luckily I got started getting the kids ready early, because it took longer than I thought it would.  Trying to curl Kayla's hair with a curling iron was not an easy task.  When all was said and done, the kids looked so cute, and we were ready to go.  We went with a neighbor friend of ours and it turned out to be a really good night!

Wes loved Jenna!  He's a crack-up... since he's going to have a baby sister, he kept calling her "baby sister".
