She cracks me up!

So Kayla has decided that she can do everything that Jaxton can do.  She now refuses to eat if we put her in her high chair.  She has to eat on the barstool, just like Jaxton, for breakfast and lunch... and when we all eat at the table, we better put her in a regular chair like a big girl, or down come the alligator tears.
Also, she has now learned to move the stool in the bathroom so whenever she sees Jaxton brushing his teeth, she shoves her way onto the stool and insists on doing it too.... spitting in the sink and all.  This irritates Jaxton to no end.  He helped me write a stool on Kayla's Christmas list.
And, as always, she loves shoes.  Her new thing is to go into Jaxton's closet and put on his shoes.  This too, irritates him to no end.
So this morning I was in Jaxton's room and I told him it was time to brush his teeth.  Kayla heard this from the living room and beat him to the bathroom.  She moved the stool all by herself, put it by the sink, and started playing with some of my earrings while she waited for me to come in and get her toothbrush.  I didn't realize any of this until I walked into the bathroom with Jaxton and found her on the stool in her jammies and wearing Jaxton's snow boots... which, might I add, she put on all by herself.

All of this made Jaxton really upset and he wasn't about to be nice when it came time to sharing "his" stool.  Luckily, all I did was remind him that Christmas was coming soon and then she would have her own stool.  This appeased him and all was well.  They continued to brush their teeth and spit together in the sink.
Jeez, I love my kids.  They are so cute and they make me laugh.

Winter Beanies

Mom got Jaxton and Kayla new winter beanies.  Jaxton's is a Spiderman beanie, which he LOVES, and Kayla's is this darling pink crochet beanie.  The day Mom gave it to her, she wouldn't take it off until it was time for bed.  She is so dang cute in it, with her chubby little cheeks.  Gosh, I love winter clothes.

The kids are baptized!

We finally got the kids baptized.  I'm so happy and I have waited so long to do it.  My Dad and Step-mom flew in from AZ to be Jaxton's Godparents, and my Mom and Step-dad are Kayla's Godparents.  It was a really good day and so nice to have everyone together.  Thank you Dad and Deb for making flight arrangements to be a part of something so special on such short notice.  And thank you Mom and James for helping me put together and get everything ready so quickly, in just a few short days from the return of our trip to California.



Our California Trip

We went on a trip to California in the beginning of October for my cousins wedding and Jaxton was the ring bearer.  We drove and made a few stops on the way.  We visited Grandma Diana and Grandpa Neal in Reno.  We don't often get to see them, so we spent some good time together and Jaxton got to have plenty of fun with a little cousin of his who he never sees.  They had so much fun together!

We also stopped in San Simeon and the kids got to see the beach for the first time.  They loved it!  We've all decided that we want to move there.  I have so many pictures of this so I certainly won't post them all.

Next stop, the wedding...
It was good to see everyone but it was a heck of a weekend.  Jaxton got really sick but he did so good walking down the aisle with the flower girl.  He even wooed her on the dance floor.  I think it was one of the cutest things I have ever seen.  I had no idea that he knew how to twirl a girl on the dance floor.  On the way home, Kayla endend up getting the flu that Jaxton had, so that was an interesting drive with two sick kids.  We were glad to be home and out of the car.  Here are some pictures from the wedding.
