Just because I love my kids, I'm posting a few pictures.

Sitting

My sweet Jenna is growing up.  She can sit for longer and longer periods of time now.  She's so proud when she does it.  She was so cute sitting on the floor watching Curious George and playing with her toes, that I just had to snap a few pictures.

Halloween in February

Jaxton and Kayla found their Halloween costumes from two years ago and insisted on wearing them.  Then Kayla peed in hers and got really devastated when I wouldn't let her wear it anymore... not to mention the fact that it doesn't fit.  But what little kid cares about that, right?

I love my shoes!

Jenna loves her shoes... I think because they are kind of shiny.  She is so cute with one shoe on and the other in her hand.  She waves it around as if to say, "look at me mommy... I have shoes!!!  Aren't they pretty???".

Snow Day!

We haven't really had too much snow this winter, which is wierd.  Trust me... it doesn't bother me any, but the kids have just been itching to play in it.  Well last week it finally snowed enough to really play in.  The kids got to use their new saucer sleds that they got for Christmas and they had sooooo much fun!!!!  It was so cute to just watch the pure joy that they had.  Nothing else mattered to them at that moment.  I don't think that I will ever forget the honest-to-goodness laughs that came from deep down in their bellies.  Just when I thought they couldn't laugh any harder, out they came with more.  It was so heartwarming.  I love moments like those.

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day to all.  I hope you are all being extra loving today, as this is the day to celebrate just that.  L-O-V-E... love, love, love. 
I love this holiday.  All things loving and all things sweet.  Who can complain about that?
The kids are so fun to watch, because they think today is amazing.  They are so excited about their valentines day treats and thought it was so fun to help me put together Mitch's valentines day surprise.  And to top it off, they got to help make and bring heart shaped brownies to their Daddy's work... of course, they ate some too.

6 Months Old

Well Jenna has officially had her first "half birthday".  I can't believe that this girl is 6 months old already.  She is growing so fast and she is so much fun!  She talks like crazy, has learned that she can get around by scooting, tries to give kisses (only when she feels like it, of course... never on cue), and has this obsession with staring down Mitch.  I can't even nurse her when he is in the same room, because all she wants to do is stare at him.  It's the funniest thing.  And her most favorite trick in the world to do is spit.  She has learned to vibrate her tongue between her lips, and if she's not talking, she's spitting.  She finds it especially funny to spit while she's eating, so that the babyfood goes every which way.  She loves Jaxton like crazy.  All he has to do is stand next to her and she laughs like he's just done the most hilarious thing that a person can do.  I can't get enough of watching them.  Her toy of choice... her walker.  She loves it.  She can't reach the floor to actually walk with it, but she loves to sit in it.  And Kayla has so much fun pushing her around in it.  I think it's Kayla's new favorite toy, too.  She pretends like her Mickey Mouse doll is her baby, and she puts him in the walker like Jenna while she pushes it around.  If Jenna's not in it, I am sure to find Mickey Mouse in it.  It's the cutest thing.  Here is my sweet Jenna girl at 6 months old...

Jenna's 1st Babyfood

Jenna had her 1st babyfood a few days ago... green beans.  She's the only kid I've had that doesn't choose to spit it out or swallow it.  She tries to chew it.  It's the funniest thing.  After a while it ends up coming out, but she doesn't intentionally spit it out.  It's just because she holds it in her mouth for too long and it has too much spit mixed with it.  I love feeding this girl.  She's so good natured about it.

At first bite, she didn't know what the heck was going on.  I had to basically force the spoon into her mouth.  She was good about it, though... not one tear.

Then she decided that she liked it.

Her favorite part is trying to feed herself.

How On Earth?

How on earth did my sweet baby Kayla get so big?  I took a picture of her, all decked out in her sweatshirt, barbie shoes, and sunglasses, while eating her string cheese, and it just really hit me how much she has grown.  She is my big girl now.  I also realized how we have quit calling her "Baby Kayla", as though that phrase was actually her name.  She is now just, "Kayla".
And then there is Jaxton.  Oh my, there's Jaxton.  I can't believe that he's going to be 5 years old in April.  FIVE, people... FIVE.  How can this be????  He's full of his own ideas and has this attitude like you wouldn't believe.  I have to constantly remind him that I'm the Mommy and he's not that big yet.  Maybe I just don't want him to be that big yet.  He's officially a kid now... not a baby, not a toddler, but a kid... SO BIG!!! (Sigh).  He's still cute, though.  And even though he has this newfound independence and an attitude to go with it, he's still my sweet boy.  He's not as tough as he thinks, thank goodness. 
Watching my kids grow is very bittersweet.  I couldn't ask for anything more.
