A Visit from Dad, Debbie, and Cheyenne

A couple of weeks ago, we were so lucky to have Dad, Debbie, and Cheyenne come visit us.  They stayed for 4 days, which went by way too fast.  We haven't seen them in so long and it was nice that they got to meet Jenna.  Both kids have grown and changed so much since last time they saw them.  Kayla warmed right up to them, which was surprising.  And this time, nobody was sick... thank goodness.  I don't think Dad and Debbie have ever been around Kayla when she's completely healthy and pleasant to be around, so I'm sure it was fun for them to be around her this time.  Cheyenne was a trooper.  The kids clung to him like you wouldn't believe... and he was so patient, God bless him.  Anyway, it was a fun few days and now I miss them.  I would love to show pictures, however for some reason blogger isn't uploading them.  That is why this post is two weeks late.  I will keep trying and hopefully I will be able to post some, eventually.

Milestones, Milestones, Milstones!

Well we certainly have a lot to celebrate today.  Today, Jenna is 2 months old.  How is my sweet little baby 2 months old already?  How has the time gone by sooo fast???  It's very bittersweet, watching her get big.
Last night she slept the WHOLE NIGHT THROUGH!!!  9 hours straight!  This is the first time that we've all gotten a whole entire night's sleep.  I can't say that it was the most restful for me, because the first time that they sleep for so long, I can't help but wonder if they are still breathing and alive.  None-the-less, she slept for nine hours straight, which allowed me to get more sleep than usual.  We'll see how long this sleeping gig lasts.  We also had another big moment today... she found her fingers.  She was in her swing and I heard her whining and snorting.  I went to check on her and she was fighting with her hand.  She was so desperately trying to suck on her fingers.  After just a couple of minutes, she was settled and happy.  I found her sucking on her middle and ring finger.  I guess it looks like no more pacifiers for Jenna... another finger-sucking habit that I am going to have to break...

Happy Anniversary!

Yesterday was Mitch and my 4 year anniversary.  I'd say that I can't believe that we've already been married for 4 years, but I can.  It actually feels as though it's been longer than that.  Since, at this point, going on any kind of date is out of the question, we decided to make celebrating a family affair and go on a day-trip to Bear Lake.  Once we got there, it took us a long time, but we finally found a sandy spot for the kids to play... it was in Idaho.  Go figure... a big huge lake that seemed to be mostly on the Utah side, and the only sand is in Idaho.  It was actually really fun, and although the whole family was sick with colds, it was nice to get out of the house.

This was Jenna's first trip to the lake.  She is exactly 7 weeks old in this picture.

Jaxton and Kayla found this large sand hole and had a great time playing in it.

This was the perfect spot for kids, because they could go so far out and the water was still shallow.

To Bathe or Not to Bathe

Apparently the bathtub is not just for bathing anymore.  Kayla's new thing is to get into the bathtub when she wakes up, in her jammies and with no water in it, just so she can play with the bathtoys.  I had to take a picture.

Sleeping Faces

I love to watch the ever-changing faces that babies make when they sleep.  Jenna goes from one face to the next in an instant and it makes me laugh.

6 weeks

Well it's been a long time since I've written but I'm going to attempt to catch up on the last month or so.  We are here in Logan... actually Smithfield, on the outskirts of Logan... and we are loving it.  We aren't quite settled in yet but we are getting there.  I absolutely love the people in our neighborhood.  I couldn't ask to be around friendlier people!  Jenna is getting so big.  She is 6 weeks old already and I can't believe it.  She is a happy baby for the most-part.  She smiles more and more and it just melts our hearts.  She is starting to coo, which I love to listen to.  The kids are absolutely loving her and I have to constantly remind Kayla to be gentle.  Mom came out for a visit and it went by way too fast. Two days just isn't enough.  It was so nice to have her here...  I miss her like crazy.  I don't really know what else.  I'm constantly busy.  Two little ones and an infant is a lot of work, but I love it.

These little purple booties are a gift from my Aunt Kathy.  Kathy made these and they will be perfect for the colder weather.  I love them.

This little hat came in a gift basket that my Mom got at an auction.  It doesn't really fit Jenna very well, but I had to take a picture of her in it, because it's such a cute little hat.

Introducing Jenna Marie Scorsone

After much anticipation, Jenna is finally here!  I can't even describe how much I love this little girl!
